THE STUDIO
LRT Studio is based in Lafayette, Louisiana and serves collectors across the United States and beyond.
Each portrait is painted by hand and developed through an intentional painting process that prioritizes feeling as much as likeness.
THE APPROACH
Every commission begins with a conversation. This is where we talk through your intention behind the portrait, the story it is holding, and how it will eventually live in a space.
You are included in the process in a thoughtful and guided way, ensuring the final piece feels true to what matters.
THE WORK
The studio focuses on the portraiture of people, couples, companions, beloved pets, and objects of sentimental value.
Some works celebrate life as it is now: others hold onto a memory. Some do both.

Lex R. Thomas
is a figurative artist and portrait painter based in Louisiana.
Their work is grounded in observation, emotional depth, and the human need for connection and rememberance.
With a background in psychology and a sustained focus on identity and internal experience, LRT Studio extends that same focus into commissioned portraiture, creating work that exists in close relationship with those it represents.

LRT Studio accepts a limited number of commissions throughout the year.
Each portrait is individually developed and painted by hand.
The process is intentionally paced to allow depth, refinement, and attention to detail.
